Havelock Street Shop Celebrates 1st Birthday!

The RSPCA North Wilts charity shop at Havelock Street in Swindon celebrated its first birthday last weekend. The shop has now been trading for a year, offering a large variety of good quality items at very affordable prices. All the proceeds from the shop go towards local animal welfare, contributing to the work the branch does helping animals in need in Swindon and the surrounding areas of North Wiltshire.

Success of the shop is largely credited to support from the local community- the volunteer shop workers, the people who donate goods and, of course, the customers. Shop manager Jody tells us “we are extremely grateful to all our wonderful volunteers without whom we wouldn’t be able to keep the shop up and running. We also want to say a massive thanks to all our supporters, donors and customers who have helped make our first year a success”.

Donations to the shop are always welcome, with arranged collections available for house clearances, large items and furniture. Jody says “We are always grateful for donations to help us stock the shop, and with our warehouse staff happy to collect items from your door should you request it, donating to us is easy and convenient.” There are many other ways you can support the branch, through volunteering, fundraising or regular donations. For more info and up to date news on your local branch or to find out how you can lend your support through donations or volunteering, please email or like us on Facebook.

RSPCA North Wilts is one of 172 branches across England & Wales who work alongside the national organisation and its inspectorate to care for sick, injured and neglected animals. As a self funding, separately registered charity, all the money raised by the branch is spent locally on helping animals in need within the North Wilts area. If you would like more info on donating to the shop or to arrange a collection please call 01793 228998 during working hours or e-mail
