Volunteer in 2019

As a new year begins many of us will be looking for new challenges, new ways to feel happier and more fulfilled. If you haven’t before, now is a great time to consider volunteering. With busy lives, it can be hard to find time to volunteer, however by giving just a little you get a lot in return. It has actually been proven by researchers that volunteering makes you happy! By measuring hormones and brain activity, it has been discovered that being helpful to others delivers immense pleasure. Human beings are hard-wired to give to others. The more we give, the happier we feel.

Whether you have time to commit to regular volunteering, or if your aim is just to help out at one event in the coming year, we have lots of opportunities for you to get involved with. We are always on the lookout for new volunteers to support us in raising funds for local animals in need. With six charity shops, a warehouse and frequent fundraising events there are countless ways to get involved and volunteer for your local RSPCA.
